LUNCH TIME - Volunteers and kids alike enjoy lunch time during Camp Chance at Joy Ranch.
Kids Get More Than Fun-Filled Days
First- through fifh-graders enjoy activities from horseback riding and archery to outdoor games, swimming and building bird houses, during Camp Chance. The program, implemented in 2006 by the Watertown Police Department, is geared to help reduce violence, alcohol and drug abuse, improve self-esteem and communication as well as establish a support system for the youths.
The Watertown Community Foundation has been a strong supporter of the program since its inception. About 116 youths attended the day camp this year. This is just another way donors are making a positive impact on young people's lives. Thank you for making a difference!
